For the past few weeks, my computer time is five minutes faster than the time showing on my watch, clock, radio and VCR. I compared the time on my watch with the time set at the train station, it showed that my watch time is correct.

I had no idea why my computer time is so much faster than the correct time. I synchronized with the Windows Internet time server, it failed to correct the computer time. I tried to use the second time server provided in Windows XP, the time.nist.gov server, it showed me that my computer is unable to connect to the server.

Today, I found the Greenwich Mean Time website on Google and it corrected my computer time accordingly.
